Group Strategy and Fast Forward - Brent Taggart

Joining Promethean in October 2007, Brent brings over 20 years international experience in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, operational performance improvement and business unit management. 

Brent spent over 8 years with Equant (now Orange Business Services), joining in 1996 to lead the Strategy function.  He developed Equant’s pre-IPO strategy framework and storyline and managed the three-year plan process that took the company from $300m to $1.3bn+.  After Equant’s successful IPO, Brent held a variety of senior positions including Head of the Radianz Business Unit, growing sales from $23m to $65m in two years, and Global Head of Service Delivery.

Prior to Equant, Brent’s previous positions include Director Finance & Systems at Unisource Business Networks BV in the Netherlands, Principal Associate at Coopers & Lybrand Management Consultants in London and Senior Director of Strategy at C&W.

In the two years prior to joining Promethean, Brent was a management consultant specialising in strategy and post-merger integration, with projects including developing product, market and funding strategy for a software as a service start-up, and working on merger integration projects in the Netherlands and France including a €2 billion semi-conductor manufacturing merger.

Brent has an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a BA (cum laude) from Pomona College.  He is also a qualified Prince2 Practitioner.  Brent holds both British and American citizenship.
