Chief Marketing Officer - Iwan Streichenberger

Iwan Streichenberger Iwan joined Promethean in March 2008 as Chief Marketing Officer. He is responsible for the company’s global expansion and worldwide marketing strategy, including international brand positioning and product management.

Iwan comes to Promethean with 15 years of worldwide experience in general management, strategy, sales and marketing primarily in educational publishing, media & entertainment and technology.
 
Prior to joining Promethean, Iwan was President of Edusoft, a Houghton Mifflin Company. Under his tenure, Edusoft became the leading formative assessment company in the United States, tripling in size in less than two years.

Previously, Iwan managed Houghton Mifflin’s global strategy and M&A activity throughout its LBO sponsored by Bain Capital, Blackstone and Thomas H. Lee. During these years, Iwan was actively involved in the aggressive turn-around of Houghton Mifflin leading to its successful sale in 2006. Prior to this role, Iwan was Chief Operating Officer of Vivendi Universal’s European online gaming portal.
 
Iwan started his career as a consultant with Bain & Company. He earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Finance and Strategy from ESCP-EAP in Paris.
 
Iwan is married with one child. He has served on the board of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) and the French-American Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco (FACCSF).
