WEEE Regulation 2007

What does this mean?  Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment.

As from 1st July 2007, Promethean holds full responsibility for the treatment of WEEE placed on the market after 13th August 2005.  The products which were placed on the market after 13th August 2005 are identified by the following symbol.

 

For items placed onto the market prior to this date and without the symbol above, Promethean will be responsible for the correct recovery of this product when we are supplying a replacement product.

Should Promethean not be supplying a replacement product it is the responsibility of the end user to arrange suitable disposal.

Promethean Ltd have assigned WEEECare as the compliance scheme to assist with our compliance with the Regulations.
